When our family started Gridley’s in the 70’s, we knew we had something special. Over the following years we brought some of the finest BBQ Memphis had seen to hungry visitors from around the world, but all good things come to an end.

As the years passed and our family moved on from the restaurant days, we kept hearing about folks fond memories of their time in Grizzly’s Den or a meal they wish they could experience again any time the word Gridley’s was brought up. We were always happy to share some memories and reminisce of course, but around late 2022 a few of us finally found some time to look a little closer at what Gridley’s meant to us and the people that got a chance to experience it in its heyday.

We started digging up old restaurant manuals, family recipe books, and anything else we could get our hands on from back in the day to see if there was anything we could, well, revive of the old Gridley’s restaurants in some form. While a full blown restaurant was out of the question at this time, we managed to pull together enough of the classics (with some new ones we’ve been working on) to make what you see here today, the Gridley Revival!
